Energy Medicine

Align with your truest self, release blockages, nourish soul and find balance.

When we are in alignment with our true nature, when we are living harmoniously with all of the aspects of ourselves, and when we can remove and release blockages, we can nourish our souls. We can shed unwanted behaviors, thought patterns, and emotions, and move into a personal place of Peace and Contentment. Physical diseases arise due to an imbalance of the mind, body and soul .  Energy Medicine sessions can help us to break free from what we no longer need and help to balance, clear, and recover our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual wellness.

What is a session like?

Shamanism

Shamanic healing is a spiritual and medical practice based upon the belief that all healing includes a spiritual dimension.

A shamanic practitioner is trained to recognize that all illnesses have a spiritual component and that everything is connected–the spiritual, emotional, physical and mental. Therefore, if one of these systems is out of balance the disharmony can be felt within the entire energetic field or web. The goal of a healing is to create balance within this web and create harmony where the spirit is suffering.  A shamanic practitioner is trained to step into the unseen world and locate the cause of the disconnection from Spirit.

Practitioners and their training vary greatly and some specialize in soul retrieval, cord cutting, drum journeying, extraction etc. In a shamanic healing the practitioner will often use certain tools to assist in moving the unwanted or blocked energy. Depending on the tradition, some tools may include feathers, mesas, sacred songs or certain herbal or plant medicines, to name a few.

Consider a shamanic healing when there are issues of depression, stagnancy and apathy in habits, PTSD, or triggering of past events that you don’t necessarily know the root cause of. These are just a few examples of blocked energies that a shamanic healing could address.

Healing’s are performed with the understanding that it’s not actually the practitioner that is doing the healing work-but Great Spirit; the practitioner is simply a qualified, skilled and experienced tool who has developed a longterm relationship with the invisible world. Spirit can now work through the practitioner to facilitate the healing.

The participation of the client is imperative as intention plays an enormous role in the efficacy of a shamanic healing. If a patient refuses to disengage from his suffering, then a shamanic healer can be of little service. But if one is willing, a shamanic healing can engage and catalyze the spiritual and self-healing capacities of the body that are often overlooked or pushed aside by traditional therapies and modern medicine.

Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."

A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results.

Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

An amazingly simple technique to learn, the ability to use Reiki is not taught in the usual sense, but is transferred to the student during a Reiki class. This ability is passed on during an "attunement" given by a Reiki master and allows the student to tap into an unlimited supply of "life force energy" to improve one's health and enhance the quality of life.

Its use is not dependent on one's intellectual capacity or spiritual development and therefore is available to everyone. It has been successfully taught to thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds.

While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion. It has no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe in order to learn and use Reiki. In fact, Reiki is not dependent on belief at all and will work whether you believe in it or not. Because Reiki comes from God, many people find that using Reiki puts them more in touch with the experience of their religion rather than having only an intellectual concept of it.

While Reiki is not a religion, it is still important to live and act in a way that promotes harmony with others. Mikao Usui, the founder of the Reiki system of natural healing, recommended that one practice certain simple ethical ideals to promote peace and harmony, which are nearly universal across all cultures.

During a meditation several years after developing Reiki, Mikao Usui decided to add the Reiki Ideals to the practice of Reiki. The Ideals came in part from the five prinicples of the Meiji emperor of Japan whom Mikao Usui admired. The Ideals were developed to add spiritual balance to Usui Reiki. Their purpose is to help people realize that healing the spirit by consciously deciding to improve oneself is a necessary part of the Reiki healing experience. In order for the Reiki healing energies to have lasting results, the client must accept responsibility for her or his healing and take an active part in it. Therefore, the Usui system of Reiki is more than the use of the Reiki energy. It must also include an active commitment to improve oneself in order for it to be a complete system. The ideals are both guidelines for living a gracious life and virtues worthy of practice for their inherent value.

Quantum Crystalline Energy Healing

A crystal or crystalline solid is a solid material whose constituent atoms, molecules, or ions are arranged in an orderly repeating pattern extending in all three spatial dimensions. The scientific study of crystals and crystal formation is known as crystallography. They have a very precise rate of vibration and so they are used in modern technology; ranging from the liquid crystal diodes in calculators and clocks to their use in the very computer you are reading this on. In Quantum Crystalline Energy Sessions, the client is laying fully clothed on a massage table and the crystals are placed in a specific order on or near the body in order to effect healing change. They do this by allowing the rate of their vibration to effect change in the rate of the spinning energy centers of the chakras, clearing out any negativity and allowing them to function at peak capacity. Clarissa spends 15-20 minutes in a discussion about the client’s subjective experiences of health, energy, and daily functioning. The client then shares what they are specifically looking to change in their life or what they are struggling with. The client then transitions to the table for the protocol to begin. Each chakra is cleared & energized with care & thoughtfulness. The overall purpose of a Quantum Crystalline Energy Balance is to open up the person's energies and activate better flow throughout the body so that it is ready to receive and can more deeply integrate the energy work. It clears clogged energy & balances the basic energy systems in the body. This sacred work can bring on profound relaxation & comfort with a sense of being more fully in the body. When we are in balance we can achieve optimum health. Crystals work with us to restore that balance.
